Employment Law for Workers in New York and Connecticut
Berlingieri Law, PLLC represents employees. If you were fired, pushed out, harassed, underpaid, or punished for speaking up, we listen, explain your rights in plain English, and help you decide what to do next. We handle matters in New York and Connecticut.
Workplace Discrimination
Unfair treatment because of race, religion (including antisemitism), disability, age, sex or national origin.
Retaliation
Punishment for complaining about discrimination, harassment or unpaid wages, joining an investigation, or requesting an accommodation.
Constructive Discharge
When working conditions became so intolerable that you felt forced to resign.
FMLA Disputes
Denied leave, interference, or being fired or demoted for taking job-protected family or medical leave.
Severance & Settlement Negotiation

Deadlines Matter
Many employment claims have short filing windows. An EEOC charge generally must be filed within 300 days in New York and Connecticut, and a Connecticut CHRO complaint within 300 days. Other claims have their own deadlines, so it is wise to speak with a lawyer early.
